poem[shelter of trees]

Radiant lover, sleep close by me,
Let the light of the moon, shine upon thee
Beneath the cover of jade painted leaves
We lie in the forest, 'Neath our shelter of trees

Radiant lover, you play with fire
Your voice is temptation, fueling desire
Your arms are enticement, a tender embrace
You are just someone, no one else can replace

Radiant lover, protector, mine
You chase away shadows, omens and signs
You fill me with kindness, warmth and of love
You are like an angel, of descent from above

Radiant lover, lie by my side,
Tonight is our own. Tomorrow, good-bye
For this moment we'll lay, 'Neath our cover of leaves,
We lay in the forest, 'Neath our shelter of trees.
