I love walking in rain
With my umbrella down.
Inhaling the water,
Yet, unable to drown
As it drenches my body
From wet head to soaked toe.
While the moonlight glistens
On the pavement below,
And refreshing kisses
Pelt onto my chilled cheek.
Though others would call them
Tears, desolate and bleak.
I proclaim them my love,
Outstrech welcoming hands,
To dance with clear pleasure
Unshackled from demands.
I love walking in rain
With my umbrella down
Because it shows me love
That cannot, myself, drown.
