poem

Today I awoke to the sun rising off the shore of Thailand,
Watched Koala's in the Australian outback, Kangaroo's too,
Made a castle for my princess in Hawaii's snow white sand,
Sat on the arch of a beautiful rainbow, viewed all its hues.

Had tea with the Queen in her Buckingham Palace,
Walked the timeless cobblestoned roads of Rome,
Chased a furry white rabbit in wonderland with Alice,
Yet nothing in the world compares to you, my home.

Stood on top of the Hollywood sign, counted passing cars,
Took a nap under a willow tree I saw in a movie years ago,
Laid on top of Mount Everest, counted endless shining stars,
Stopped by New York and caught a famous Broadway show.

I reached for the sky at the top of the Golden Gate bridge,
Made a snow angel in the arctic that reminded me of you,
Stared down at the valley on the peak of Grand Canyons ridge,
Sat on a cloud looking down at earth, you wouldn't believe the view.

Most of these places I've never been to, only in my dreams,
I've realized how spectacular life is because of you baby girl,
I stop and notice all the little things, nothing is as it seems,
But whenever I look into your beautiful eyes.....
I see the world.
