words together

When corruption
starts to pursue these eyes
And reason
is tempted by the sirens song
Time...will break the journey
Allowing re-traceable steps
welcoming past thoughts
Of the way you look tonight

While witnessing
the tasty smiles cuddle your face
and tiny wrinkles kiss your nose
as laughter casts its spells
I stand enraptured
Your eyes
print poetry on this simple heart

And though my tongue does taste
the occasional cliche
Especially, when caught in her stare
I'm proud to be called a repeat offender
Praying this moment last forever
As voluntarily I dwell
in the grace of romance
